Tkita Privacy Policy

1. What is the Privacy Policy?

    AirSound Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the 'Company') 'collects, uses, and provides personal information based on the user's consent,' and 'actively guarantees the user's rights (right to self-determination regarding personal information).' The Company complies with the relevant laws and regulations, personal information protection provisions, and guidelines of the Republic of Korea that information and communications service providers must adhere to.

    The 'Privacy Policy' refers to the guidelines the Company must adhere to in order to protect the user's valuable personal information, allowing the user to use the service with confidence. This Privacy Policy applies to the Tkita service (hereinafter referred to as 'Tkita' or the 'Service').

2. Purpose of Personal Information Processing

    Personal information is used for member management, service provision and improvement, and new service development.

    When registering as a member or during the service usage process, the minimum personal information necessary for providing the following services is collected through the website or individual applications or programs:
    • Member identification, confirmation of intent to register, identity/age verification, prevention of unauthorized use
    • Analysis based on demographic characteristics and service provision
    • Development of new services, provision of various services, handling inquiries or complaints, delivery of notices
    • Transmission of content or settlement of charges when using paid services
    • Prevention and sanctioning of actions that interfere with the smooth operation of the service (including account theft and unauthorized use)
    • Confirmation of participation in events/promotions, utilization for marketing and advertising, etc.
    • Processing voice commands, improving voice recognition, and providing personalized services
    • Utilization for service usage records, access frequency and statistics on service usage, establishing a service environment that protects privacy, providing customized services, and service improvement
3. Items of Personal Information Processed

    The Company collects the minimum personal information necessary for service provision. When registering as a member or during the service usage process, the minimum personal information necessary for providing the following services is collected through the website or individual applications or programs:

    The personal information collected is as follows:

    For some services, in order to provide various specialized functions, additional personal information may be collected after obtaining user consent, apart from the information commonly collected through the 'Tkita Account'.
    • Purpose of Tkita Service Use
      • Required: Nickname, Email, Password
      • Optional: Date of Birth, Gender, Profile Picture
    • Purpose such as Customer Center Inquiry
      • Required: Phone Number, Nickname, Email, Tkita Account

What is Required Information? : Information necessary to perform the essential functions of the relevant service.

What is Optional Information? : Information additionally collected to provide more specialized services (There are no restrictions on service use even if optional information is not entered.)

    The methods of collecting personal information are as follows:

    When collecting personal information, the Company must notify the user of that fact in advance and obtain consent, and personal information is collected through the following methods:
    • When the user agrees to the collection of personal information and directly enters the information during the member registration and service use process
    • When personal information is provided by affiliated services or organizations, etc.
    • When participating in online/offline events/promotions, etc., such as through a webpage, email, fax, or phone during the consultation process via the Customer Center

    The personal information collected from users during the service use process is as follows:

    • Information such as device information (OS, screen size, device ID), IP address, cookies, visit date and time, unauthorized use records, and service use records may be automatically generated and collected during the use of PC web, mobile web/app.
    • Personal information may be provided by a third party through service alliances or linkage.
4. Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information
  • The Company processes and retains personal information within the period of retention and use of personal information pursuant to the law, or within the period of retention and use of personal information consented to by the data subject at the time of collection.
  • The processing and retention period for each piece of personal information is as follows:
    • Use of Tkita Service: Until membership withdrawal
    • Use of Customer Center: Up to 1 month after the customer consultation ends
  • However, in cases falling under the following reasons, retention is until the relevant reason ceases:
    • If investigation/inquiry is ongoing due to a violation of related laws and regulations: Until the end of the investigation/inquiry
    • If claims and obligations resulting from website use remain: Until the settlement of the relevant claims and obligations
    • Provision of goods or services: Until the completion of goods/service supply and payment/settlement of charges. However, in cases falling under the following reasons, retention is until the end of the relevant period:
      • Records regarding contract or withdrawal of subscription, etc.: 5 years (Article 6, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 2 of the Enforcement Decree of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.)
      • Records regarding payment and supply of goods, etc.: 5 years (Article 6, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 3 of the Enforcement Decree of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.)
      • Records regarding consumer complaints or dispute resolution: 3 years (Article 6, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 4 of the Enforcement Decree of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.)
      • Records regarding labeling and advertising: 6 months (Article 6, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 1 of the Enforcement Decree of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.)
5. Destruction of Personal Information

Personal information is destroyed without delay once the purpose of collection and use is achieved, and the procedures and methods are as follows:

In the case of electronic file formats, they are safely deleted to prevent recovery or reproduction, and in the case of other records, printouts, or documents, they are destroyed by shredding or incineration. However, information stored and then destroyed according to internal policy is as follows:

  • Encrypted storage of the Tkita account and withdrawal notification email address for sending notification emails and responding to CS inquiries
  • Records of unauthorized service use

Furthermore, in accordance with the 'Personal Information Validity Period System,' Tkita separately stores or deletes the personal information of members who have not used the service for one year. The separately stored personal information is retained for 3 years and then destroyed without delay.

6. Matters Concerning the Provision and Outsourcing of Personal Information to Third Parties
  • Tkita does not provide users' personal information to third parties, except where there is separate consent from the user or where stipulated by law.
  • Tkita does not provide personal information to external parties without the user's prior consent. However, personal information is provided to third parties after obtaining the user's consent, within the necessary scope for the user to use the services of external partners, etc.
  • The Company may outsource personal information to external companies to carry out some of the tasks that are absolutely necessary for service provision. The Company may also outsource under its management and supervision to ensure that the outsourced company does not violate relevant laws and regulations.
7. Matters Concerning Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Information

    The Company is taking the following measures to ensure the security of personal information:

  • Administrative Measures: Establishment and implementation of internal management plans, regular employee training, operation of a dedicated organization
  • Technical Measures: Management of access rights to the personal information processing system, installation of an access control system and other related protective measures, internet network blocking measures, encryption of personal information, storage and inspection of access records, installation and update of security programs, and inspection and reinforcement of vulnerabilities in the personal information processing system
  • Physical Measures: Access control for computer rooms and data storage rooms, storage of documents/auxiliary storage media in secure locations with locking devices, safety measures against disasters/emergencies, and control over the removal/entry of auxiliary storage media
8. Matters Concerning the Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects and How to Exercise Them

Tkita protects your rights.

Users can view or modify their personal information at any time, and may also request the withdrawal of consent for collection and use or the termination of membership.

More specifically, changes can be made through the setting function within the service, and to terminate membership (withdraw consent), you can proceed with 'Member Withdrawal' within the service. If you contact the Customer Center via writing, phone, or email, we will take action without delay.

If you request correction of errors in personal information, the personal information will not be used or provided until the correction is completed.

9. Matters Concerning the Installation, Operation, and Refusal of Automatic Personal Information Collection Devices

Cookies may be used for the provision of PC-based services.

Cookies are used to support faster and more convenient website use and to provide personalized services.

  • What are Cookies?
    They are small text files that the server used to operate the website sends to the user's browser and are stored on the user's computer.
  • Purpose of Use
    Cookies are used to store user information and recall it frequently in order to provide personalized and customized services.   • Furthermore, Tkita may use personal information to provide marketing such as events and advertisements, and obtains the user's consent in advance. Users can withdraw their consent at any time if they do not wish to receive marketing. For requests related to the above, please contact the Customer Center via writing, phone, or email, and we will take action without delay. If you request correction of errors in personal information, the personal information will not be used or provided until the correction is completed.

13. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy may be revised for purposes such as reflecting changes in laws or services.

If the Privacy Policy is changed, Tkita will post the changes, and the revised Privacy Policy will take effect 7 days after the date of posting. However, in the event of significant changes to user rights, such as changes to the items of personal information collected or the purpose of use, users will be notified at least 30 days in advance.
